Featured Programs 2019

Family Weekend is a busy time, so much to see, so much to do, and of course, you want to find plenty of time to catch up with your student. Here are a few programs that might just fit the bill:

Reynolda House Museum of American Art
Reynolda House welcomes WFU families to spend the afternoon at the museum using our app, called Reynolda Revealed (free on Google Play and the App Store), and explore the Museum’s featured exhibition, Leyendecker and the Golden Age of American Illustration. 

Student A Capella Concert
A variety of talented A Cappella and Choir groups on campus perform samples of some of their greatest songs. This popular campus tradition begins at 8 PM on 11/1, in Wait Chapel.

Friday Departmental Open Houses
Learn more about opportunities for your students and meet WFU staff. Many departments are offering workshops and Open Houses during the weekend. Download the Family Weekend Guidebook or check our website for the complete list, to be posted soon!

Family Movies
Need a break to relax and catch your breath! Stop by the Pugh Auditorium for free movies throughout the day on Saturday! We will be showing Toy Story 4 and Brian’s Song from Noon to Midnight! For showing times and more information click this link! 

Wake Downtown Open House
From 1:00pm to 3:00pm take the shuttle to the Innovation Quarter! Wake Downtown is the home of three new undergraduate academic programs: Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (BMB), Medicinal Chemistry & Drug Discovery, and Engineering. Visit during Family Weekend for more information and a tour from the Wake Downtown Ambassadors.
