As part of Family Weekend 2023 scheduling, the Planning Committee felt it important to note the impact that comes with this event being scheduled at the same time as Yom Kippur 2023 Holy Day observances. The Planning Committee was aware, when planning for this year’s home football schedule, that Yom Kippur begins at sundown on Sunday. As a result, we took the start of Yom Kippur into consideration when scheduling this year’s Family Weekend. Based on available home games scheduled, September 22nd was the only available weekend for the event.

We apologize for the negative implications this has for the desire to participate in Family Weekend festivities this upcoming football season, and be with your family during Sunday and Monday observances for Yom Kippur. If you have additional questions, please call the Family Weekend Planning Committee at 336.758.7168 or email families@wfu.edu and a Family Weekend Planning Committee member will connect with you.

Please RSVP for Yom Kippur activities here.
