Game Day Tailgating

When it comes to game day, there is a tailgate option for everyone!


Make plans to enjoy the DEACTOWN Fan Zone located directly outside of Gate 1 near the Deacon Statue. This free space features live music, a beer garden for those 21 and older, video screens to watch other games, food trucks, inflatables for kids, and more! This space opens three hours prior to kickoff and closes 30 minutes before kickoff.

DEACTOWN Student Tailgate

This completely revamped space at Gate 4, behind the East stands of Truist Field, opens three hours prior to kickoff and features a stage with live music and a large video screen to watch games from around the country. Food and beverages are available for purchase, providing a dynamic outdoor club atmosphere for Wake Forest students and their guests. A variety of seating and eating areas and games surrounding the stage and video screen will provide opportunities for relaxation and engagement for all.

During Family Weekend, families with tickets to the game may enter the area with their student, via Gate 4 of Truist Field near the Wake Forest Tennis Complex. Each student will need their Screamin’ Demon Rewards app and their Wake Forest Deacon OneCard to enter. Each family member must show a valid ticket to the game. All individuals age 21 and older must present an acceptable form of ID (e.g., valid driver’s license, military ID, North Carolina state ID, or passport) at the tailgate wristband table located inside of Gate 4 prior to entering the student tailgate area.

All-inclusive Tailgate Packages

Exclusive tailgate packages are available and can be reserved now through The gameday Tailgate Village is located directly in front of McCreary Tower and provides easy access to Gate One. Tailgate packages range in price from $375 to $2,125 and include a tent, tables and chairs, and everything you need to enjoy your gameday in DEACTOWN! Full-service catering packages may be added to the tailgate rental and features a variety of local food and beverage options.

Tailgate at your vehicle

Have Lunch at the Carolina Classic Fair

Located across Deacon Blvd. from Truist Field, the Carolina Classic Fair will be happening all day on Game Day, offering a wide variety of home-cooked local food choices such as burgers, hot dogs, barbeque, Moravian Chicken Pie and Funnel Cake (you would be amazed at the things that can be dipped in batter and deep-fried.)
