I’m thinking about purchasing (or have purchased) football tickets. Where will these seats be located?

The Family Weekend block seats are considered “best available” seating, but these are allocated after season tickets have gone on sale. Once we have received our block, we seat families in the order of purchase according to our assessment of the “best” seat. (There are really no bad seats in our stadium!) Often part of our block falls on the visiting team’s side of the stadium, but one advantage is that this is also the side of the stadium where the student section is located.

What time is the football game?

The game time will be announced about ten days prior and will be announced at this site as soon as we know.

Where do we pick up our registration information and tickets if the Registration area will be closed when we arrive?

That’s no problem! Your student is allowed to pick up your purchases. Just bring student ID. If that’s not possible, our staff at most events will have lists of registered families and can check you in at the door. All football tickets not picked up by noon on Saturday will be taken to the will-call window at BB&T Field.  T-shirts can be picked up until the end of Sunday brunch.

How do we get to the football stadium, and do we have to pay for parking there?

View stadium maps, directions, and shuttle information.

If you drive, you’ll need to park in the LJVM coliseum lot, which costs $10 per car.  We’ll have free shuttle buses running from campus to the stadium 2 hours prior to game time and post game.

What if we have a family member who needs special seating or handicapped access to the game?

If you need accessible seating at the football game, you may want to purchase your tickets from wakeforestsports.com; however, should you purchase your football tickets through our Family Weekend block and need accessible seating, please send an email to familyweekend@wfu.edu ASAP letting us know the total number of your party and how many accessible seats are needed. Be as specific as possible in your message: will you need space for a wheelchair, limited amount of climbing, transportation to the stadium? Please don’t delay in sending us this information – during a sold-out game, this type of seating can be limited.

For more information about campus accessibility, visit our accessibility page.

Where is handicapped parking at the stadium?

Handicapped parking for the football game will be in the Wake Forest Baseball Park parking lot. Shuttles with lifts are available for transport to BB&T Field both prior to and after the game. For more info and/or to purchase your parking pass in advance, please contact the Athletics Ticket Office at 336-758-DEAC(3322).

If we buy tailgate tickets at this website, which tailgate are we paying to attend?

The Family Weekend tailgate takes place in the BB&T Field Tailgate Zone, which is located adjacent to BB&T Field along Baity Street (runs parallel to Deacon Blvd.) This is not the same tailgate as student-sponsored tailgates that take place in other parts of the stadium area. If you’re unsure, you may want to check with your student before purchasing tailgate tickets.

Where’s the Tailgate Zone located?

This area is adjacent to BB&T Field along Baity Street, which runs parallel to Deacon Blvd. More information.

What time does the Family Weekend Tailgate begin?

The Family Weekend Tailgate begins at 5:00 PM and ends at kickoff.

If we arrive on Saturday after the Registration area closes, where should we pick up our tailgate tickets?

Please come on over to the Tailgate Zone. Our staff will have a list of registered families and can check you in at the door.

Is there handicap accessibility to the Family Weekend Tailgate?

For information about tailgate accessibility, visit our accessibility page.

Is the Family Weekend Tailgate canceled if it rains?

This event takes place under a large tent, so we’ll be there, rain or shine.

I am bringing a child under age 8 to the Family Weekend Tailgate. Will he or she need a ticket?

The tailgate is a catered meal so everyone who attends needs a ticket.
